The Club

A course professionals have played, and a club that feels like home.

Clandon Regis was designed by David Williams, for many years consultant architect to the European Tour. Built across 1992 and 1993, it opened in June 1994 and became a members' club in 1996, laid out across 170 acres of Surrey parkland at the foot of the Surrey Hills.

Associated with the PGA South Region, the club has hosted top professional events over the years, including the PGA Southern Professional Championship and the inaugural MasterCard Tour event in 1997. Three decades on, it is known for two things above all: greens golfers genuinely rave about, and a welcome that is one of the friendliest in the county.

The Course

Eighteen holes of gently undulating parkland.

David Williams routed it along the natural lie of the land, with no steep hills, then shaped it with several lakes and strategically placed bunkers. It rewards precise shot placement over sheer power, and tests every standard of player without punishing them. Above all, it is known for greens that run fast and true.

Routed with the land, not against it.

David Williams followed the natural undulations of 170 acres at the foot of the Surrey Hills, with no steep hills to climb. Several lakes and strategically placed bunkers ask for thought rather than brute length, so the course tests all standards of player without punishing them. Yellow tees play to roughly 5,925 yards, red tees to around 5,575.
