Private · By Introduction
Some places are
not for everyone.
A quiet estate of pine and heather in the Surrey hills, and an unhurried eighteen holes kept for the few who belong to it.
I · The Estate
We have spent more than a century learning the value of saying very little.
Wentmoor Park was laid out in 1908 across a fold of Surrey heathland, where the soil is sand and the air smells of pine resin in August. It has changed hands quietly twice in its history, and its character not at all. There is no signage on the lane — you either know the turning, or you have been told it.
What we offer is not facilities. It is a kind of privacy that is increasingly difficult to buy: a clubhouse where you are known by name, a course rarely shared, and the understanding that what happens within the boundary stays within it.
II · The Course
An old heathland eighteen, kept honest and largely to itself.
“It does not announce itself. It waits.”

Sand-based fairways that run firm and fast from May. Greens cut to a measured pace and defended by heather rather than water. No buggies as a rule, and no tee-time queue — because there are rarely enough people on the course to form one. You walk, you think, and you are home by lunch.
III · The Table
A short menu, an old cellar, and a long afternoon.
The dining room seats forty and never more. The kitchen cooks what the season gives it and writes the card each morning. The cellar was begun in 1931 and has been added to, never sold from. Members keep their own napkin rings; guests are welcome, in moderation, and always at a member's invitation.
On dining with us“I have belonged for thirty-one years. I have never once felt the need to explain it to anyone, and I never will.”

Enquiries by introduction
If you have read this far,
perhaps you already know someone here.
A member's introduction is the proper first step. Where one is not yet to hand, the Secretary will receive a brief, considered note — in confidence, and without obligation on either side.
Wentmoor Park · AI Concierge
Have a question? Just ask.
No forms, instant answers any time — ask about membership, the course, dining or how to be introduced. The Concierge can register your interest, too.
V · Enquiries Answered
A few quiet answers.
How much is a round or green fee?
Wentmoor Park does not publish green fees and does not sell visitor rounds. It is a private members' club; play is reserved for members and their accompanied guests. Subscriptions are quoted on application, with an entrance fee by arrangement.
Can visitors or non-members play the course?
No. Wentmoor Park is private, so visitors play only as the accompanied guest of a member. We do not offer pay-and-play green-fee tee times or society days.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Traditional golf attire is expected on the course, and smart dress in the clubhouse and dining room. Denim, trainers and sportswear are not worn at the table; jackets are appreciated in the evening.
Where are you and how do I get there?
Wentmoor Park is on Wentmoor Lane, Virginia Water, Surrey GU25 4QP, set in heathland a little under an hour from central London. There is no signage on the lane — directions are given to members and invited guests.
How do I book or become a member?
Membership is by introduction: a candidate is proposed and seconded by two existing members and considered by the committee. Where a member's introduction is not yet to hand, the Secretary will receive a brief, considered note in confidence, without obligation.
