A Cotswold Wellness Retreat

Switch off,
then tee off.

A calm place to slow down — a destination spa, restful rooms, wholesome food and unhurried golf, gathered in a fold of the Cotswold hills.

A serene wellness garden and spa terrace at Sunningwell in soft morning light

Our philosophy

We built Sunningwell around a single idea: that rest is the point. Everything here moves a little slower — so you can, too.

A calm indoor hydrotherapy spa pool with loungers and soft daylight

The Spa

A day measured in warmth, water and quiet.

Our destination spa is the heart of Sunningwell — a salt-water hydrotherapy pool, a thermal suite of saunas and steam, a relaxation deck that looks over the gardens, and a treatment list drawn from the Cotswold landscape. Open to overnight guests and day visitors alike.

  • Hydrotherapy pool & thermal suite
  • The Sunningwell Ritual — a 90-minute signature treatment
  • Relaxation deck, garden sauna & cold plunge

The Golf

Unhurried golf, then the rituals.

A gentle, mature parkland eighteen that asks for rhythm rather than muscle — par 71, 6,300 yards, walked at your own pace. Play in the morning light, then drift to the spa. Visitors and resident guests welcome; an academy and pro shop sit by the first tee.

Dine

Food that does you good, and tastes it.

The Garden Room cooks what the kitchen garden and the season give it — bright, wholesome and unfussy, with a quiet wine list and a long, slow lunch you needn't rush. Lighter spa menus and proper Cotswold breakfasts, too.
